Different people interpret taking refuge in God in different ways. To me, taking refuge in Krishna means taking refuge in His words. Srila Prabhupada of ISKCON said that Krishna and the Hare Krishna mantra are inseparable. To me, Krishna and His words are inseparable. And by those words, I can understand everything, including Him.
