Opening up

Arjuna took refuge in Krishna twice in the Bhagavad Gita. There are subtle differences in the two.

The first one in the 2nd chapter was from escapism. Arjuna's trust was limited to a Krishna who was his friend. Arjuna said that he was dropping off his armour and not even going to defend himself but Krishna did not allow this.

The second one in the 18th chapter was from awareness where Arjuna's trust had become extended to everything. And then Krishna said...I have prepared you well enough by all this talk that whatever defense you need will be automatically provided by it and so you don't need to worry about anything.

Though Arjuna's words seems brave initially, it is cowardice because in the name of relationship, he was trying to escape defeat, losing kingdom, death etc. which may result from the war. At the end though, he became fearless and convinced that whatever trust that he could lay on Krishna could be laid everywhere else also including in himself.

A partially open heart is still not an open heart. Don't know what else to write. Maybe later...
